Andrea Tramel

Executive Director

Andrea Tramel is the Executive Director of Family Promise of Southwest Michigan. In this role, she leads efforts to provide safe shelter and coordinated support services to families experiencing homelessness across the region.

She is passionate about creating structured, compassionate programs that balance accountability with dignity. Andrea is committed to building strong community partnerships, fostering transparent operations, and cultivating a workplace culture rooted in service, collaboration, and excellence.

As a local resident, Andrea is deeply invested in strengthening Southwest Michigan and ensuring families have access to safe shelter and clear pathways toward long-term housing stability.

Program Director

Andrea "Dre" Chapman manages all aspects of the emergency shelter program, including designing, implementing, and monitoring services to ensure they are trauma-informed and housing-first. She also coordinates with community partners to provide seamless access to housing, healthcare, and supportive services.

Josalyn Kiplinger

Shelter Operations Manager

Josalyn Kiplinger oversees the daily operations of the emergency family shelter, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment while implementing trauma-informed, housing-first services for families. Josalyn supervises shelter staff, manages scheduling and facility needs, responds to crises, and works closely with case managers and community partners to support families on their path to stable housing.
